Description

This course focuses on creating an affinity for the entrepreneurial perspective of transforming ideas into viable organizations. Students will analyze the processes involved in identifying and evaluating new opportunities; securing sources of capital; and strategic planning for launching, growing, and ending new ventures. Contemporary legal implications and tax considerations faced by today’s entrepreneurs will be examined. Students will apply foundations in business, finance, and accounting to calculated risk taking. Through the formation and analysis of business plans and interactions with entrepreneurs in the community, students will broaden their business perspectives and embody the entrepreneurial spirit.
