Description

In addition to studying the process, theory, and models of mass communication, the course covers the histories and structures of the print media (newspapers, magazines, books) and the electronic media (radio, recording, motion pictures, television) as well as the interdependence among the various media. Special emphasis will be placed on mass media economics and the social effects of mass communication. Prereq: ENG 101 or concurrent enrollment
